Accident a major inconvenience for Tabata

ONE WAY IN, ONE WAY OUT.....
Leaving town yesterday and anxious to get back home early i was inadvertently inconvenienced from achieving this because of a major traffic accident that completely blocked the only and major access road to my house.
The driver of this trailer, apparently couldn't make it up the slight incline into Tabata, Dar es Salaam, and after his brakes failed on him mid way up the incline, his trailer suddenly reversed back and overturned in the process.

....and blocked the entire road that leads to a major urban area in Dar and mid into 5pm, a time when everyone makes there way back to their 'castles'.

Our only alternative out of the jam was to use another alternative which caused another major traffic snarl up somewhere in the middle of Tabata (around St. Mary's International School). Three hours we were stuck, competing for road access between private and public passenger vehicle drivers that include daladala drivers, the local public passenger road transporters.
Someone needs to address this situation really. New accesses into Tabata maybe????

Obama Drama....

...... Indeed!
Its 3.57am, Tuesday the 20th of January 2009, and am asking myself a lot of questions! Questions not about my direct life but questions about one man who has taken the world by storm and everyone on this planet, awaits with bated breathe, for Barack Hussein Obama to seat where George Bush did!
But as the Obama Drama plays out in full effect, i posit to you that as much as we might deny it, or as much as we might want to hide it under the carpet, Obama is NOT BLACK but Caucasian. A man born of A BLACK KENYAN MAN AND A WHITE AMERICAN WOMAN! So why is Obama BLACK?????
....But am proud he is BLACK....and the only thing that makes him BLACK originates from the genes of a Kenyan man, Barack Obama Sr, who was fortunate to partake the dream of many a youth in his time and got an education in the States. Were it not for Obama senior, or any other fully African man from Black Africa, President OBAMA would NEVER BE BLACK........
At 12.01pm, Washington time, he will be Mr. President. At that time on, he will ascend the most powerful office in the world and will lead the highest of demands both locally and internationally. Never in a long time, has the world had so much expectations on one single man like they do on Obama, son of the late Barack Obama Sr of Kogelo village, Kenya.
His cause, his passion, zeal and drive fascinate me more and more. His responsibilities and the expectations that rests on his shoulders are enormous. Lets give this 44th US President the support to make his citizens' expectations full and the world a safer and better place to live in.
Good bye George Walker Bush, many a people will NOT MISS YOU ONE BIT!!!!!!!!

Sick American society or utter nonsense????

I WANT MY KIDNEY BACK!!!!!
Wonders cease to amaze!
Some dumb *** doctor (surgeon in Obamaland) has been having some bad times with his estranged wife lately. The wifey has refused him child custody and i think goes out of her way to make sure that the guy doesn't see them. His life has, according to him, while talking to Larry King on hi Live show, says this has devastated him totally. I agree but....
...whats the nonsense about him wanting back kidney he donated to his wife when days were good? This is what i call high class nonsense!!!! So he's sitting there, all confident, lawyer...ooops sorry, attorney at his side, looking all serious about suing his ex to get back his kidney....... and the bloody guy says he loves his children......Ah!
America oh America!

Kikosh guted by fire!!!

KIKOSH OH KIKOSH!!!!

For most Kenyans who like was brought up in the middle class urban areas of Eastleigh and its environs, Kikosh is one of the Kenyan wonders! That market that provides ugali and sukuma wiki and the occasional Christmas chicken and meat to close to 50,000 mouths, went up in smoke last night! The source, the Nation, doesn't say the extent of damage to the entire Kikosh market, but from the headline story, the damage is huge..... The 1am fire gutted stalls of the business people who etch a living from the famous market in the middle of wathii (dont know if that colloquial word still exists in 'kijey' (Majengo, a slum area in Nairobi). My heart goes out to these traders as i remember the countless times i trotted through Kikosh to reboot my wardrobe!

How sad.

Back on track....

Hi friends.

I am officially back onto Abantu after fine holidaying (part of December) and getting success strategy in place for 2009. Last year was a very difficult year for most of us and i am sure most of us would want to never forget the experiences of 2008. What a tough year it was!

As the world staggers and finds its economic balance, and as wars rages here and there, lets us not be weary to keep our eyes focused on what we need to do to make a better day. Each of us, in our respective positions and capabilities are wished a fabulous 2009 and i much appreciate your ever steadfast support. I am indeed humbled! For a blog less than a year old, am not doing too badly on the blogging scene.

I much appreciate your criticism and praise (have published all without fear or favor) and will do my best to give you a better blog in 2009. have a splendid day y'all and stay safe.

Thank you.
